Nate Bukaty of 810 WHB’s The Border Patrol joined the show this week to talk about the job the front office has done, the Royals amazing turn around and how good Alex Gordon is. Also David and Clint discussed possible September call ups, Billy Butler and some possible offseason moves.
Audio from Christian Binford and Omaha Storm Chasers announcer Mark Nasser is included in the minor league spin.
Episode 28 opens up with some talk about…”lady jam.” Whatever that means. Listen and you may or may not find out.
Ben also discusses his weekend trip to Colorado and Coors Field. Chris Kamler appears as a guest this week, and discusses some of the finer points of umpiring, and whether robots could do a better job than humans. He also discusses some of the media frenzy around the news/non-news about 810 and Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas, and basically whether 810 made news out of nothing. Show closes up with some good ol’-fashioned hemorrhoid discussion.
David and Clint were lucky enough to interview two of the most intelligent Royals media personalities around in Rany Jazayerli of Rany on the Royals and Soren Petro from 810 WHB’s The Program. With Rany the roster breakdown, Santana offseason and last man on the bench options were discussed. The conversation turned to the ownership’s commitment, whether Ned Yost is the right man for the job and GMDM performance. Clint and David also discussed David’s trip to Arizona and what he saw there.
David and Clint had new Kansas CIty Star beat writer on to talk about the upcoming Royals season, views of the organization from an outsider, Fake Ned harassment and more about Andy himself. Prior to that interview David and Clint discuss the Ubaldo Jimenez deal with Baltimore and the recent interview with Dan Glass by MLB.com and Kevin Kietzman’s interview with Robb Heineman of Sporting KC. Audio of that interview can found at 810whb.com.
