Kansas City Baseball Vault: 11/3/14 – World Series Recap and What Happens Next

After some time off to watch the World Series, we put off recording the first offseason show long enough.

Of course, the Royals did not finish their dream run through the playoffs, but it was still a great showing. We talked about the memories, the new fans, and just how special the 2014 season turned out to be, even if Madison Bumgarner ended it.

And since the season is over, we looked at the impact of departing free agents, mostly notably Billy Butler (whose option for 2015 was declined by the team), James Shields, and Nori Aoki.

Is this the only time we’ll see the Royals in the playoffs this generation, or can they keep building on this?

The Kansas City Baseball Vault is brought to you every week via the Royals Podcast Network with the support of Kelly’s Westport Inn, the best bar to stop by to watch a ball game.

Used to blog about the Royals, now just podcast about them. I used to be a Bob Hamelin fan, too. Oops.
